Keys To Distinction – Part Three

The key of planning: Lk. 14:28-32 “For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn't first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?

 Or perhaps, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, everyone who sees begins to mock him, saying, 'This man began to build, and wasn't able to finish.'

Or what king, as he goes to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?”

While vision has its source in God, planning has its source in man.

To plan effectively;

·       Define the task – understand what you want to do before embarking on it. If you are not trained in that area, you can consult a professional.

·       Identify your tools – your resources to execute the vision. It’s time to count the cost. It’s time to know whether you have the right people, material and funds for the project. Remember to connect God through prayer.

·       Define your target – your goal. Most people are not effective in project execution because of poor planning or no planning at all. While faith is good, it works better when you are looking up to something and believing God for grace. Planning will make you to have focus on the altar of prayer. Praying without planning causes vagueness in one's prayer life. You must define your target.

·       Define your timing – Every plan that has no deadline cannot be realized in time. Timing like planning keeps you focused. Timing makes you conscious of your target.  It helps you identify your dream killers and keep away from them.

Every time that can be useful should not be wasted.

1Co 2:10-11 “… for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God…even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.”

Visions come from God, therefore we should learn to involve the Holy Spirit in our planning. The Holy Spirit knows the mind of God. He provides the ingredients for effective planning.

Dear guest, you have postponed that book for a long time, why not start writing it now.

What day are you going to start composing that song; it has stayed long in your mind.

Don’t you think it is time to start that painting, that project, that business?

Remember the world is waiting for you to manifest the glory of God.

Make your life count.
