The Word Of God – Part 1
The integrity of God’s word 2 Tim. 3:16-17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
Apostle Paul
is telling us here that the written word of God (supposedly the Old Testament) is
given by the inspiration of God. It‘s not the contrivance of any man's knowledge.
It was revealed to men by God through his spirit.
It is
profitable for doctrine and instruction;
- Teaching
us what to know and believe in order to have salvation.
- Teaching
us about God, Christ and ourselves.
- It
is good for reproof of error and false doctrines.
- It
is good for correction of sin and evil manners and also for instruction in
righteousness, directing us on how to lead a holy and righteous life, according
to the will of God.
When a man
receives God’s word by faith, it is able to make him perfect and ready for good
works. It is able to equip the ministers of Christ with knowledge, faith, and
holiness making them fit for their work and duty as Christians and as
ministers. The scripture is sufficient to lead a man to salvation. It is infallible
having been inspired by God.
Acts 14:3 “Long time therefore abode they
speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace,
and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.”
When you
speak the word of God with boldness, he confirms his word with signs and
wonders - you encounter breakthrough.
The three
Hebrew children (Shedrach, Meshack and Abednego) told King Nebuchadnezer “…our
God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he
will deliver us out of thine hand, O king” (Dan. 3:17).
Indeed God delivered
them from the fiery furnace. What do you think gave them the boldness to boast
before King Nebuchadnezer and the princes of Babylon?
God had
promised through the prophet Isaiah. “…when thou walkest through the fire, thou
shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” (Is. 43:2c)
Jesus
overcame the Devil by quoting the word of God to him: “But he answered and
said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that
proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Mt. 4:4)
The Devil
cannot withstand the word of God.
The church
is not demonstrating much miracles today because the children of God are not
boasting in the name of the Lord their God. I encourage you child of God: Boast
in his name, speak his word and celebrate your breakthrough. God bless you.

Overcoming the Spirit Of Fear
Mt. 14:24-30
“But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind
was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them,
walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they
were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But
straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not
afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou; bid me come unto
thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the
ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind
boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save
me”.
It was the
fourth watch in the night, Jesus was not in the boat. The wind was boisterous
and suddenly they saw a man walking towards them on top of the water. They have
not seen man walk on water before, so they thought it was a ghost. Naturally
they should be afraid.
Knowing that
it was Jesus, allayed their fears and increased their confidence, at least the
Master has come.
Fear is an
unpleasant and awful strong feeling aroused by anticipation of danger, evil, loss,
pain etc. It paralyzes the needed effort to do something.
Vs. 30: ‘But
when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink…” Peter
was afraid – this second fear was caused by Satan to stop Peter from walking on
water. This is a dangerous type of fear that Christians should abhor.
Supposing
Peter succeeded in walking to Jesus on water, it would have been a major
breakthrough for humanity. It is probable that man should have been walking on
water.
When you are
about to have a breakthrough, you should watch out for diverse suggestions and
oppositions. You should be careful with the voices you hear so that you do not follow
the voice of the devil.
Are you
ready to embark on that project – it has stayed long on the drawing board, go
ahead and do it. Its time to write that book, sing that song and do that
painting. Start it today. With God on your side, you’ll cross every sea that
comes your way.
Remember! Never
magnify a problem above your God. Victory is ahead of you.

Jesus Exceeds Expectations
A man looked for healing; Jesus also forgave his sins. A widow was on her way to bury her dead son; Jesus restored her son to life.
The word of
God has no private interpretation. If he raised the dead, he will raise you
from your seemingly dead situation. He will raise every organ that is dead in
your body.
If he has
healed the sick, he will heal you. It does not matter how hopeless and bad your
situation might seem. May be it seems so bad that it makes you weep in the
night, remember; “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the
morning.” (Ps. 30:5b)
Cheer up
Jesus is passing your way now; he will wipe away those tears from your eyes.
Heb 4:16 “Let
us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy...”
Come to
Jesus now. Come just as you are.
He will
exceed your expectations.

Keys To Distinction – Part four
The key of power: Lk. 24:49 “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”
Power gives
motion to your vision. Vision is useless without motion. You must add some push
to your vision. When you add motion to your vision it becomes a missionary. One
who sees without applying a push is a visionary (day dreamer)
Some dimensions of power;
The power of the Holy Spirit: The
Holy Spirit is God’s creative power. He is the answer to your business, health,
family and ministry.
The power of the word of God: The
word of God is the power of God. It is the worked examples of those who through
faith and patience walked with God. Every encounter with the word of God is an
encounter with power. God’s word has no private interpretation. He will do for
you what he did for the men of old under the same circumstance.
The power of prayer: Prayer is
communing with God.
Power can be generated through prayer.
Ac 16:25-26 “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang
praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great
earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately
all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.”
Jesus said “Take ye heed, watch and pray…” (Mk 13:33)
Literary, we pray over the things we cannot do. Man was
made to rule on earth, while God rules
in heaven. When problems overwhelm you, take it to the headquarters (heaven) in
prayer.
The power of focus: The reason some
people never go forward in life is because they lack concentration. They
abandon their vision at the slightest challenge.
The worst thing that can happen to a person is to break his
or her focus.
Discover a project, begin to work it until it begins to work.
What to do when you feel like giving up is not to give up.
Financial power: Eccl. 10:19 “...but
money answereth all things.”
Money is a shelter. No matter how holy you are, you need
money. Any vision that is not backed with money might never come to pass.
Most of our prayer requests are based on money. Your access
to financial liberty is not by fasting and prayer. Wealth is a function of
operating kingdom principles. “Give and it shall be given unto you…” (Lk. 6:38).
A prayer warrior does
not get wealth – a giving warrior does.
What you cannot give out, you should not expect.
God gave his only begotten son – today he has many sons and
daughters.
When you release, you increase, when you withhold you
decrease.
Now that you
have known this truth what manner of person are you supposed to be. Fear God,
receive Jesus as your Lord and personal savior, trust him and pray to him and you
will be distinguished. God bless you.
